Irish Opposition Front Bench

The Opposition Front Bench is a group of senior opposition TDs in Dáil Éireann who together under the leadership of the Leader of the Opposition form an alternative cabinet to the government's, whose members mark each individual member of the government. Members of a shadow cabinet are often but not always appointed to a Cabinet post if and when their party gets into government.
Fine Gael is the largest opposition party in the Dáil at the moment. Its current Opposition Front Bench is as follows:

- Jim O'Keeffe - Opposition spokesperson for Justice & Law Reform
- Bernard Allen - Opposition spokesperson for Foreign Affairs

- Liam Twomey - Opposition spokesperson for Health And Children
- John Perry - Opposition spokesperson for the Marine
- Fergus O'Dowd - Opposition spokesperson for Environment, Heritage & Local Government
