Ontario Freeway
The Ontario Freeway is a segment of Interstate 15 in southern California, running through San Bernardino and Riverside counties. It is the principal north-south freeway through the fast-growing Inland Empire region, in the far eastern suburbs of Los Angeles.
The Route
After the Mojave Freeway crosses the Cajon Pass and enters the small town of Devore , it spawns a bypass route, Interstate 215 (the Escondido Freeway). I-15 continues from this junction as the Ontario Freeway. The freeway proceeds southward, re-entering the San Bernardino National Forest for a brief stretch, before turning due south in eastern Rancho Cucamonga. It proceeds in that direction through the remaining portion of San Bernardino County before crossing the San Bernardino/Riverside county line in southeastern Ontario. The Ontario Freeway then ends at Limonite Avenue in unincorporated Riverside County; I-15 continues thereafter as the Corona Freeway.
