Operation Emery

Operation Emery was a series of twelve nuclear tests conducted at the Nevada Test Site.

These explosions occurred after the Mandrel series and before Grommet .

The ‘’’Baneberry’’ blast was notable for the three million curies of radiation that escaped through cracks in the ground. This was the “dirtiest” acknowledged American nuclear test.
