Operation Megaphone
Operation Megaphone was the name given to the Canadian capture of an American merchant ship in the Atlantic in August 2000. The ship the, GTS Katie, was chartered to return Canadian armored vehicles from deployment in Kosovo. The American owners refused to order the ship into port due to a contractual dispute. A small team of soldiers were taken by helicopter to the ship which then sailed into port.
