Parachute Rigger Badge

The Parachute Rigger Badge is a decoration of the United States Army which was first created in June 1986. The award is intended as a badge for enlisted and warrant officer personnel who have successfully completed the U.S. Army Quartermaster School’s course on parachute combat supply, preparation, and deployment.

Those obtaining the Parachute Rigger Badge receive either the Enlisted Military Occupational Specialty Code 43E or the Warrant Officer designation 401A. The Parachute Rigger Badge may also be awarded on occasion to officers, upon application to the Department of the Army under regulation ARR 600-8-22.

Those qualifying for the Parachute Rigger Badge may also earn the Parachutist Badge and wear both decorations simultaneously.
