Parlee Beach
Parlee Beach is in New Brunswick, Canada. Known for having the warmest salt water north of the Carolinas, it is one of NB's most popular recreational areas, having attracted as many as 25,000 visitors on particularly hot days. It has an annual visitation of over 1,000,000, although this is almost entirely in the summer months, when Shediac's tourist season is most active and the area's 2,000-plus cottages are occupied.
Named in 1959 after T. Babbitt Parlee , the former NB Provincial Minister of Municipal Affairs, who had died in a 1956 plane crash.
