Pass

A pass can refer to:
- a mountain pass, a low place in a mountain range allowing easier passage
- a strait or passage, usually used of one that is very narrow but still navigable
- permission to be away from one's unit for a short period in the U.S. military
- a run of a parser or code processor in a compiler (computing terminology).
- an offer, usually more implict than express, to form an intimate relationship
To pass can refer to:
- in sports such as soccer, basketball, American football, ice hockey, and volleyball, giving control of the ball, puck, or other play object to another member of the same team
- as a student, achieving an acceptable grade on a test or in a course ("I'm passing English this year.")
- while driving, overtaking a slower car in a separate lane (preferably on the left in countries which drive on the right), or the (passing) lane set aside for doing so ("That car's passing me on the left.")
