Patrick Norton
Patrick Norton (born June 26th, 1970 in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois) was co-host and managing editor of The Screen Savers, TechTV's interactive show geared toward the tech enthusiast. He is now an editor for extremetech.com and lives in San Francisco, California with his wife, Sarah. Prior to joining TechTV, Norton tested products and wrote for PC Magazine, Computer Shopper, and InfoWorld , and ran the hardware reviews section of Windows Sources magazine. He cut his technical teeth on Osborne and Kaypro CP/M systems in the early '80s.
Norton grew up all over the Midwest and Northeast, but he considers the Jersey Shore home. He graduated from Pace University in New York City with a major in English literature.
He likes to read, race sailboats, snowboard, and spend as much free time as possible in the ocean on a surfboard or kayak. While he no longer plays bass in a punk rock band, he does dote upon his massive collection of CDs. Patrick is also known for his love of the kilt and listening to Flogging Molly.
