Patsy Pease

Patsy Pease (born July 5, 1956 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina) is an American soap opera actress, most known for her role as Kimberly Brady Donovan on Days of Our Lives.

Her first soap opera role was of Cissie Mitchell on Search for Tomorrow, a role she played from 1979 until 1982.

In 1984, she debuted as Kimberly Brady Donovan on Days. She was half of a very popular supercouple, as many viewers were interested in her love affair and eventual marriage to Charles Shaughnessy's character, Shane Donovan. In 1990, she left the show abruptly when a storyline decision dictated that Kimberly would come to terms with her uncle sexually abusing her as a child.

When she returned to the show in 1991, she went public with her story: her mother had emotionally and physically abused her for years. She left the show again in 1992 when she suffered a nervous breakdown.

Pease returned to Days in 1996 and played Kimberly until 1998. Nowadays, Pease lectures to support groups and tells others about her childhood and how she eventually forgave her mother.
