Paul Dickov
Paul Dickov (born November 11, 1972 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a Scottish football player who currently plays for Blackburn Rovers F.C. as a forward.
He started his career in 1992 with Arsenal F.C., before heading off to both Brighton and Hove Albion F.C. and Luton Town F.C. during the 1993/94 season. He moved to Manchester City F.C. in 1996, a regular starter in six seasons for the club. During this time, he made his international debut, against Australia. However, when Kevin Keegan became boss, he fell out of favour, and moved to strugglers Leicester City F.C. as they attempted to avoid relegation.
His Leicester debut came in a 3-0 defeat against Derby County F.C., but in the next match he played, he scored both goals in a 2-1 victory against his current club Blackburn Rovers F.C.
However, in January 2004, he was arrested, along with Keith Gillespie and Frank Sinclair , on allegations of sexual abuse. These allegations soon cleared, he would still manage to score 13 goals for season 2003/04. As Leicester moved down the table and eventually into the First Division, however, he moved to Blackburn Rovers.
