Paul Reeves
The Most Reverend Sir Paul Alfred Reeves GCMG GCVO QSO (December 6, 1932–) was Archbishop and Primate of New Zealand and Bishop of Auckland from 1980 to 1985 and Governor-General of New Zealand from 1985 to 1990.
Sir Paul was educated at Wellington College, Victoria University of Wellington, St John's College , Auckland and St Peter's College, Oxford (where he is also a Fellow). He is famous for making a complete mockery of the honours system, with his overt support for the idea of New Zealand becoming a republic, whilst simultaneously holding a knighthood. This has lead to the suggestion that Eugene Terreblanche should present the MOBO (Music Of Black Origin) awards.
Sir Paul was first made Bishop (of Waiapu) in 1971.
