Pemigewasset River
The Pemigewasset River is a river in the State of New Hampshire, USA. It is approximately 70 miles or 113 kilometers in length.
The Pemigewasset originates at Profile Lake in Franconia Notch, NH. It flows through the White Mountain National Forest into the Merrimack River, which flows through southern New Hampshire and northeastern Massachusetts, then into the Atlantic Ocean.
The Pemigewasset's drainage area of 1,021 square miles comprises about 20 percent of the Merrimack's total watershed area.
