Perisher Blue
Perisher Blue is one of Australia's largest skiing resorts. It is located in the Snowy Mountains in the southeastern corner of New South Wales, about 600 kilometres southwest of Sydney.
The resort is an amalgamation of the Perisher, Smiggins Holes, Blue Cow and Guthega skifields and many lifts. The base elevation is about 1640 metres above sea level and the summit elevation is over 2,000 metres. The resort is accessible by road and by the Skitube, Australia's only underground rack-railway. The main skiing period is in July and August. Perisher Blue belongs to one of Australia's richest men, Kerry Packer.
Perisher Blue consists of 50 lifts. 1 eight seater (built in 2003), 2 high-speed Quad detachable chairlifts, 4 fixed-grip Quad chairlifts, 2 Triple chairlifts, 3 Double chairlifts, and lots of T-Bars.
