Petey Piranha

Petey Piranha is a fictional character in the Super Mario series. It is a giant piranha plant. He can be distinguished from other piranha plants by the ring of yellow petals around his head, his ability to fly by flapping his leaflike arms, his little feet, and his white-spotted red underpants.

Another abilty of his is to spit out a strange paint like goop, similar to that of Shadow Mario's Paintbrush. When Mario defeats him in Sunshine, he turns into the goop, and melts away, questioning the fact that he may have been created by Shadow Mario.

Petey made his debut appearance in Super Mario Sunshine as the boss of Bianco Hills. He has since appeared as a secret playable character in both Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (who drives well for something that has no eyes), Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, and Mario Power Tennis. Petey also served as the boss of the windmill table in Mario Pinball Land.
