Assumption Island day Gecko (Phelsuma abbotti sumptio CHEKE, 1982), named after a small island outlying on the south west end of the Seychelles is a subspecies of geckos. This species is only found on Assumption Island . It typically reaches the length of 140 mm, lives on palm trees and feeds on insects and fruit.
