Piasa
Piasa, a dragon god of the Americas.
In 1673, Father Jacques Marquette discovered a painting on a limestone bluff overlooking the Mississippi River (which he was exploring at the time). It depicted a creature described by locals as being as large as a calf, having the head and horns of a deer, red eyes, and the beard of tiger.
