Pizhou
Pizhou city (邳州; pinyin: pīzhōu) is a county-level city of Jiangsu province, in China.
History
Its old name is Pi County (邳县), and before that, Xia Pi (下邳).
Geography
It lies in the northeast of Xuzhou City at the cross point of the Grand Channel and LongHai Railway. To the north of Pizhou, there is the famous Taierzhuang Town of Zaozhuang City of Shandong Province. During World War II, the Taierzhuang Battle (台儿庄战役) happened there. In the Chinese civil war, it was the scene of the Huaihai Battle .
