Population Media Center
The Population Media Center (PMC) is an organization whose aim is to improve the health and well being of people using entertainment-education strategies, such as drama on radio and television. PMC collaborates with mass media and other organizations to: "(1) bring about stabilization of human population numbers at a level that can be sustained by the world's natural resources and to (2) lessen the harmful impact of humanity on the earth's environment". PMC has created many soap operas, written and produced locally.
PMC has projects in:
- Ethiopia
- Kenya
- Malawi
- Mali, Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso: Cesiri Tono (in the Bambara language)
- Nigeria
- Rwanda
- Sudan
