Prefectures of the Central African Republic
The Central African Republic is divided into 14 provinces (capitals in parentheses):
- Bamingui-Bangoran (Ndélé)
- Basse-Kotto (Mobaye)
- Haute-Kotto (Bria)
- Haut-Mbomou (Obo)
- Kémo (Sibut)
- Lobaye (Mbaďki)
- Mambéré-Kadéď (Berbérati )
- Mbomou (Bangassou )
- Nana-Mambéré (Bouar )
- Ombella-M'Poko (Bimbo )
- Ouaka (Bambari )
- Ouham (Bossangoa )
- Ouham-Pendé (Bozoum )
- Vakaga (Birao )
Additionally, there are two economic prefectures (capitals in parentheses):
- Nana-Grébizi (Kaga Bandoro )
- Sangha-Mbaéré (Nola )
The national capital, Bangui, comprises a commune.
