Pskov Oblast
Pskov Oblast (Russian: Пско́вская о́бласть) is a federal subject of Russia (an oblast). Its administrative center is the city of Pskov. The oblast borders the European Union countries of Estonia and Latvia, as well as Belarus. Its major cities are the capital Pskov (202,000) and Velikiye Luki (104,000).
Area 55,400 km². Population is estimated at 746,652 in 2004, down from 846,000 in 1989.
