Punk (typeface)
Punk is a typeface for the TeX typesetting package written using Metafont.
Punk's glyphs feature curves of a single thickness (resembling hand-written text), with beginnings, ends and cusps decorated by circular blobs. Making extensive use of Metafont's abilities, the outlines of Punk's glyphs are perturbed by a pseudo-random number generator to produce slightly different shapes at different sizes (or, with a slight alteration of the font's source, every time the font is regenerated for a DVI file). For this reason, Punk is not generally seen distributed as a Type 1 or TrueType font, or used in WYSIWYG desk-top publishing tools.
