RAAF Base Amberley is currently home to No. 1 & No. 6 Squadron RAAF (operating the F-111's) and No. 38 Squadron RAAF (operating the DHC-4 Caribou). There are a variety of other formations on the base such as training colleges and maintenance areas. It is soon to becomae Australia's largest air force base.
