Raja Permaisuri Agong

Raja Permaisuri Agong, or in full, Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong, is the title given to the Queen of Malaysia.

The holders of this office have been:

  1. Tunku Kurshiah binti Almarhum Tunku Besar Burhanuddin, Tunku Ampuan of Negeri Sembilan 31 August 1957-1 April 1960
  2. Raja Jemaah binti Almarhum Raja Ahmad, Tengku Ampuan of Selangor 14 April 1960-1 September 1960
  3. Tengku Budriah binti Tengku Ismail, Raja Perempuan of Perlis 14 September 1960-20 September 1965
  4. Tengku Intan Zaharah binti Tengku Omar, Tengku Ampuan Besar of Terengganu 21 September 1965-20 September 1970
  5. Tunku Bahiyah binti Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Sultanah of Kedah 21 September 1970-20 September 1975
  6. Tengku Zainab II binti Tengku Muhammad Petra, Raja Perempuan of Kelantan 21 September 1975-29 March 1979
  7. Tengku Hajjah Afzan binti Tengku Panglima Perang Muhammad, Tengku Ampuan of Pahang 15 April 1979-14 April 1984
  8. Tengku Zanariah binti Tengku Panglima Raja Ahmad, Sultanah of Johor 15 April 1984-14 April 1989

Previous holders of the office of Raja Permaisuri Agong whose husbands are deceased receive a pension from the Federal Government's Civil List. They also take precedence immediately after the reigning Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Raja Permaisuri Agong.
