Randy 'The Natural' Couture (born June 22, 1963) is a participant of the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. The main body of his fights have taken place in the UFC organisation. Former Light-Heavyweight UFC champion, Couture is a member of the Team Quest group of fighters.

Based on his extensive Greco-Roman Wrestling background, Couture's fighting style is typically 'Ground and Pound'. Despite this he has shown the ability to submit his opponents when given the opportunity.

Randy Couture debuted in the UFC on May 5th, 1997 as part of UFC 15 - The Ultimate Force. When Couture started his UFC career the event consisted of an eight man tournament with no weight classes. Despite this fact Couture achieved much early sucess in these tournaments often fighting much larger opponents. Today Couture fights at 205 lbs. and he has defeated some of the greatest fighters in the world such as Tito Ortiz, Chuck Liddell, and Vitor Belfort.

Couture's record in MMA is 13-7-0 (as of April 17, 2005), especially impressive given the quality of his opponents. Born in 1963, Couture is older than the majority of fighters within the UFC and his domination of his weightclass is regarded as inspirational.
