Rapla County
Rapla County, or Rapla maakond, is a County or maakond of Estonia. It is located in western Estonia bordering to Lääne, Pärnu and Harju counties.

History
The first written records of Rapla date back from 1241 and appeared in the Danish Book of Evaluation.
County Government
The County Government (Maakonnavalitsus) is led by a Governor (maavanem).

The church of Rapla was built in 1901. However, much of the interior dates back to several hundred years earlier and is of high virtu and historical value. In the church yard there are several crosses remained from the 17th century.
