Ray MacDonnell

Raymond Arthur MacDonnell (born March 5, 1928 in Lawrence, Massachusetts) is an American actor, best known for his role as Dr. Joe Martin on All My Children. He is one of only two actors left on the show who have played their roles since the very first episode in 1970.

Before his acclaimed role on All My Children, he played Philip Capice on The Edge of Night from 1961 to 1969.

He received a Daytime Emmy award for Lifetime Achievement in 2004 along with fellow AMC castmate Ruth Warrick.
