Rescue Rover

Rescue Rover is a computer game from id Software published by Softdisk. It is a "puzzle game" where you must get a dog out of a maze, repeatedly in a set of increasingly-difficult levels, by moving objects around in a grid to open up a path to get to the dog and then bring it back out. It is necessary to move crates out of the way, as well as to re-route deadly laser beams by sliding mirrors in place, among other hazards and tools. This is one of several games written by id to fulfill their contractual obligation to produce games for Softdisk, where the id founders formerly were employed. A sequel, Rescue Rover 2 , soon followed.
