Richie Ramone

Richard Reinhardt (Also 'Beau') was born on August 11, 1957. He is better known as Richie Ramone. He joined the Ramones in 1983 after second drummer Marky Ramone was forced to leave the band due to his alcoholism. Richie left the band in 1987 because he thought that he wasn't getting paid enough for his work. The band then asked Marky back, and he accepted.

Richie features on the albums Too Tough To Die , Animal Boy and Halfway To Sanity and played over 500 live shows with them. He also wrote the classic Ramones song "Somebody Put Something In My Drink " which was writen after he had his drink spiked with acid.

Richie attended former bandmate Joey Ramone's funeral when he passed away on April 15, 2001 from cancer, even though he was told several times not to go. He had been estranged from the other Ramones for years before this. He also features in the Ramones documentary .
