Ricki-Lee Coulter
Ricki-Lee Coulter was a contestant on the second series of Australian Idol. She received seventh place. Her exit from the show was a bit of a scandal, as she was heavily tipped from the beginning of the series to be the inevitable winner. She was well-known for her powerful voice, provocative dancing and vibrant personality. Ricki-Lee, hailing from Queensland is a back-up singer by occupation, and states her musical idols are Beyonce Knowles and Stevie Wonder.
Ricki-lee lives in Gold Coast with her boyfriend, Jamie. She used to play nitball and almost played for Australia, but got involved in a serious injury that took that chance away from her. Soon she discovered her singing ability and was invited to join a band.
With the standout performance of "Proud Mary" by Tina Turner, many people have been speculating about a possible recording contract. The singer has had no offers of a recording contract as yet, but Ricki-Lee is to supposedly record a duet with Australian Idol judge and popular soul singer Marcia Hines. Ricki-Lee has also performed with Marcia Hines in her latest show, An Audience With Marcia Hines, which was broadcast on cable television.
