Robert Forke
Robert Forke (April 6, 1860 - February 2, 1934) was a Canadian politican. He was elected as Member of Parliament for Brandon in 1921. In 1922, he replaced Thomas Crerar as leader of the Progressive_Party_of_Canada.
Following the 1926 election of William Lyon Mackenzie King, Forke resigned as House Leader in order to sit in the Privy Council. He subsequently served as Minister of Immigration and Colonization in the Liberal government from 1926-1929 (an informal pact existed between the Liberals and Progressives).
At the age of 69, he was appointed to the Canadian Senate under the "Liberal-Progressive" party banner. He served in the Senate from 1929-1934.
