Robert Roosevelt
Robert Roosevelt (1829-1906) was the uncle of President Theodore Roosevelt and the grand uncle of Eleanor Roosevelt. He was an early conservationist and worked for the protection of waterways. Robert Roosevelt served in congress as a Democrat. He was later appointed to a diplomatic post to Holland by President Cleveland.
