Roberto Suazo Córdova
Roberto Suazo Córdova, born in 1927 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, was President of Honduras from January 27 1982 to January 27 1986. Originally a rural doctor, he became head of the Liberal Party of Honduras (PLH) in 1979. He was elected to power in the elections of November 29 1981, ending 18 years of military rule.
