Rocket From The Tombs

(Redirected from Rocket from the Tombs)

Rocket From The Tombs was an American punk rock band that formed around 1974 and lasted about a year.

When the group broke up, some members formed The Dead Boys and others formed Pere Ubu. Both groups used songs first written or performed by Rocket From the Tombs.

Rocket From The Tombs has recently reformed (2003) with David Thomas (vocals) and Steve Mehlman (drums) of Pere Ubu; Cheetah Chrome of The Dead Boys and Richard Lloyd of Television on guitars, and Craig Bell of Saucers on bass guitar.

Never having recorded an album in their lifetime, Smogviel records finally put out a CD a fews years ago. Amphetimene is their definitive song.
