Rodney Jerkins
Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins (born in 1977 in New Jersey) is an African American songwriter, record producer, and musician, one of the most successful music makers working today in the genres of pop, R&B, hip hop,, and gospel.
Jerkins has produced a numer of hits for artists such as Joe ("Don't Wanna Be a Player No Mo"), Brandy ("Sittin' On Top of the World", "What About Us"), Brandy and Monica ("The Boy Is Mine"), Michael Jackson ("You Rock My World"), Britney Spears ("Overprotected") and Destiny's Child ("Say My Name", "Lose My Breath"). With his brother Fred Jerkins III and songwriter LeShawn Daniels , Jerkins is one of the main figures in Darkchild Productions, a production company and record label responsible for the hits by these and a number of other artists.
