Romy, aka Yann Raspilaire, a resident of France. Former user of the now-defunct website/messageboard Coming Attractions. Always posted with the attitude of "I am right, you are wrong, you must see things my way after I simply post my opinion then ram it down your throat."

He was known for being able to dish it out "troll-style", but never being able to take it. Of course, this attitude brought on considerable attention from those of us who see the need of quickly applied justice when someone thinks their crap doesn't stink.

Arch enemy quickly became the beloved Scrr, who made some rather dynamic and hilarious photoshoppings of Romy to prove a point. Scrr, who can laugh at himself, never really pushed it too far, but Romy had a penchant for crying "He's picking on me!" to the administration, who was the selfsame Patrick Sauriol that is Admin at Cinescape.

As the tumbleweeds started to blow throught the quickly deserted streets of Coming Attractions, Pat decided to give Uber-Mod status to Romy and some of the other posters. The reasons for this were really never made clear to all of us others. Needless to say, things deteriorated from there.

Romy had always boasted about his post count,even though nobody really cared, but he did it enough that it soured and became very annoying. He would start threads just to elevate his post count as well as participate in what ammounted to computerized masturbation, even carrying on conversations with himself because nobody else would post in his threads. Many of his replies to other users would simply be the term "meh". This became so overused by Romy it was a source of annoyance to others and was often used to ridicule him any chance we got.

Additionally, Romy had this thing about Spiderman. You could not say anything against Spiderman, especially in the Spiderman Forum, as your thread/post would get locked/deleted/etc, moreso after he was made uber-mod.

Also, he had a very unhealthy stalking-type attention toward one of the other posters, Drusilla, who after putting up with his unwanted attention just disapeared from the Internet seemingly altogether. Romy enlisted the assistance from everyone he could to try to find out what happened to her, even going as far as reporting her as a missing person to the police department of the city she had said she lived in. As he knew one of the other posters was a former officer, he also approached him to try to tap the "good-old-boys" network and get information/investigation not normally accessable to an unrelated third party.

Lastly, he was the catalyst, if not the direct cause, of the final shut-down of Coming Attractions. He contrived to have Scrr banned from that board, through complaints that Pat got sick of hearing. Once this happened, all hell broke loose, sides were drawn, and members of the Cinescape board became involved.

Needless to say, Romy is known now as more of a joke than a productive member of the message boards. He is the example of someone who has gone too far on a message board and is in serious need of "getting a life".
