Rush Hour 2

Rush Hour 2 is a 2001 martial arts/buddy cop film, starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. It is the sequel to the movie Rush Hour.

Plot

The story of Rush Hour 2 continues from where the original left off, with Chief Inspector Lee (Chan) and Detective James Carter (Tucker) travelling to Hong Kong as a vacation. However, soon after they arrive a bomb explodes in the American Embassy. Inspector Lee is assigned to this case, which takes on a personal meaning for him when it is discovered the man behind it is Ricky Tan — his father's former partner, and a man who played an instrumental role in his father's death.

The American and Hong Kong authorities soon get into a fight over the jurisdiction of the case. A secret customs agent, Isabella Molina (Roselyn Sanchez), becomes Inspector Lee's love interest. Inspector Lee drags a reluctant Carter off to try and solve the case on their own.

Another enemy they must face on their case is the deadly Hu Li, played by Zhang Ziyi (of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon fame) in her first American film.
