Ryan Cabrera

Ryan Cabrera (born July 18, 1982 in Dallas, Texas) is an American musician who released his first album, Take It All Away , on August 17, 2004; it debuted at number eight on the Billboard 200 album chart. Cabrera had become known earlier in the year for his uptempo pop-rock single "On the Way Down", which peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number seven on the Billboard Top 40 Tracks, and for his relationship with the singer Ashlee Simpson; he appeared in several episodes of the first season of her reality show, The Ashlee Simpson Show, and Simpson appeared in Cabrera's music video for "On the Way Down". Simpson's first single, "Pieces of Me", was written about Cabrera and their relationship. The two were reported to have broken up in August 2004 because of their busy schedules, but their relationship continued, and the two were still seen together and their relationship also featured in season two of The Ashlee Simpson Show. They did a series of high school concerts together in October 2004, which was seen on the show. In February 2005, there were reports that they had broken up. Cabrera has toured with Ashlee's sister Jessica Simpson, and his manager is their father Joe Simpson. "On the Way Down" was followed by Cabrera's second single, "True". He is half colombian.
