Seawise University

Seawise University was the name given by Hong Kong businessman Tung Chao Yung to the former RMS Queen Elizabeth when he purchased it and moved it to Hong Kong Harbour in 1970. Because of serious problems with the boilers of the old liner, it took the ship 6 months to go to Hong-Kong. The name was a fantasy creation out of the first letters of his first names, C. and Y. and meant "C.Y.'s University". However the vessel was gutted by a fire that broke out at different places onboard, believed to be arson, in January 1972 and was scrapped in 1975, before the project could ever be truly realised. Before, she was the MI6-Headquaters in the James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun 1974.
