The Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) located in Mysore was established in the year 1963 under the aegis of JSS Mahavidyapeetha. It has carved a niche for itself as a premier centre of Technical Education. Sophisticated laboratories, library, highly qualified & experienced faculty, staff members and a well-designed college campus has made this institution a success.
It was inaugrated by T. M. Pai the then Chairman, Academy of Education, Manipal (Mysore State), as one in a galaxy of Technical Colleges in the year 1963. Commissioned with the divine inspiration of His Holiness Jagadguru Lingaikya Dr. Sri Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamigalavaru of Suttur Mutt as private college under the auspicies of the JSS Mahavidyapeetha , It is now funded partially by the Government of Karnataka.
