Sabacc

Sabacc is a card game of luck known throughout the galaxy in the fictional Star Wars universe. It involves several stages and is similar in ways to twenty-one.

Sabacc is played with a deck of 76 card-chips, divided into four suits. They fluctuate at random intervals from electronic signals from a central randomizer. The goal of the game is to get a total card value of positive or negative 23, through various rounds of bluffing and betting.

Han Solo won his ship, the Millenium Falcon, from Lando Calrissian through a high-stakes game of sabacc at Cloud City.

There are several different versions of Sabacc. The rules have been changed countless times to fit different species and different mindsets all through the galaxy. Han actually, in one Star Wars Novel, lost the Millenium Falcon back to Lando, then won it back, and the lost it again. Lando, however, gave it back to Han in the end.
