Sabre Man is the main character in several games released by Ultimate Play The Game. The Sabre Man series consists of Sabre Wulf, Underwurlde, Knight Lore, Pentagram , and Mire Mare (never released). Sabre Man has also made appearances in Killer Instinct and Banjo-Tooie by Rare.

The story that links the games together is that Sabre Man fell into the land of Sabre Wulf. When he found the exit, he entered the Underwurlde. Unfortunately, he was bitten by the junglewulf at some time during this adventure, turning him into a lycanthrope (werewolf). The only way he could cure himself was to journey to Knightlore Castle and employ the talents of the wizard Melkhior to free him from this curse. Once he succeeded here, he then became a Wizard himself for the tasks set in Pentagram.

A much older Sabre Man reappeared in Sabre Wulf for the Game Boy Advance in 2004. In this game, the Mayor of Blackwyche Town asks for Sabre Man's help to collect the seven pieces of the Sabre Wulf amulet which had sealed the 'Wulf away in a stone statue in the centre of town. Dr. Dolittle-Goode had broken up the amulet and was using it to power laboratories that would keep the lands that he had conquered with the Wulf in his grasp.
