Saint-Denis, Réunion

Saint-Denis de la Réunion, (or just Saint-Denis or St-Denis for short) is the préfecture (administrative capital) of the French overseas département Réunion. It is also the biggest town on the island, with several suburbs sprawling up the nearby mountain. One of these suburbs, La Montagne, became a town in its own right in 2002.

It was founded by Étienne Régnault in 1669 and became the capital of Réunion island in 1738.

The closest airport is the Aéroport de la Réunion Roland Garros which is also the main international airport of Réunion.

The hotels in Saint-Denis include Mercure Creolia Hotel , Austral Hotel and Best Western.
