Sakura Kasugano

Sakura Kasugano is a video game character in the Street Fighter series of fighting games. She's a 16-year-old (as of Street Fighter Alpha 3) Japanese schoolgirl who has an intense facination with Ryu. She's managed to copy and learn some Ansatsuken, which Ryu's uses, but really wants him to train her personally. He turned down her offer, however, stating that he is still a student himself. Don't expect that to stop Sakura, though.

Sakura typically fights in her school's uniform, a short-skirted sailor fuku, with a pair of red bloomers underneath. She wears a red top under her uniform, sparring gloves, and a white headband. Her red shoes bear a strong resemblance to Converse Chuck Taylors.

While Sakura's moves are very unpolished, she has a lot of potential. She learned many of Ryu's moves, including the Hadoken, simply from watching him do it.

Sakura lives in Tokyo, Setagaya prefecture, where she attends Tamagawa Minami High School, along with her best friend Kei Chitose and her self proclaimed rival, the spoiled rich girl Karin Kanzuki.

Sakura is also friends with Hinata Wakaba (who oddly idolizes her) and Natsu Ayuhara from the Rival Schools series, students of Taiyo High and Gorin High, respectively. She has also met Dan Hibiki, and trained for a short time under him.
