Salè
The Moroccan port city of Salè is located at the mouth of the Bou Ragrag River which separates it from Rabat, on the Atlantic Ocean. Salè has a population of around 600,000. It was founded in the 11th century and in about 1630 it became a haven for Moriscoes turned Barbary pirates.
