SanSan
The SanSan megalopolis is the name of 3 metropolitan areas in western California than extends from San Fransisco to San Diego. It contains a little more than 27 million people. The Los Angeles area contains about 2/3 of the total population of the megalopolis.
The area is known to experience severe earthquakes. Some examples include the 1989 earthquake of San Fransisco and the 1994 earthquake of Los Angeles. The major earthquakes that have rocked California cause billions of dolars in damage. Though it is uncertain when or where but scientists predict that the San Andreas fault will produce a earthquake that will be more powerful than any other earthquake to hit the California coast.
