Saskatoon Blades
The Saskatoon Blades are a junior hockey team, based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, that plays in the Western Hockey League.
The Blades began operations in 1974, originally playing their games at the old Saskatoon Arena before moving to Saskatchewan Place (renamed Credit Union Centre in 2004) in 1988. The team has developed many NHL players such as Wendel Clark and Bernie Federko. The team went to the WHL Finals in 1992 and 1994, both times losing to the eventual Memorial Cup champion Kamloops Blazers.
