Schwarze Elster
Schwarze Elster is a 188 km long river in eastern Germany, in the states Saxony, Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt. Its source is in the Upper Lusatia region, near Bischofswerda.
The Schwarze Elster flows through the cities Kamenz, Hoyerswerda, Senftenberg , Herzberg and Jessen . It flows into the river Elbe upstream from Wittenberg.
There is also a river Weiße Elster in eastern Germany.
