Scottish Gaelic proverbs
Visit and Contribute to the Scottish Gaelic Wikipedia.
Scots Gaelic proverbs are the folkloric sayings of the Gaels of Scotland, deriving from folkwisdom, pre-Christian myth, and other sources. The following is a small collection of proverbs. They are, of course, in the Scots Gaelic language. The Scottish Gaelic word for proverbs is seanfhaclan, which means "old words".
A list of these proverbs is provided at Wikiquote:Scottish Gaelic proverbs.
