Scottish Junior Cup
The Scottish Junior Cup, also known as the OVD Cup, is a competition organised by the Scottish Junior Football Association. As of 2003/2004, 163 teams were involved in the competition.
The cup is extremely venerable, having been competed since before World War II.
The current holder of the trophy is Tayport F.C. , who defeated Linlithgow Rose F.C. 1-0 in the final match. The game took place at Firhill Stadium in Glasgow on the 1st of June 2003. The game was broadcast live by Scottish Television.
OVD Demerara Rum company has sponsored the tournament for the last sixteen years, with two more years remaining on the current contract. The name OVD has become synonymous with the competition, so much so that the cup is sometimes simply referred to as the OVD Cup.
