Second Treaty of London
The Second Treaty of London was a treaty signed in 1359, which was demanded by the English and accepted by the French after Edward, the Black Prince defeated and captured the French king John II at The Battle of Poitiers. The treaty required France to give up much territory in Western France. Many of the terms of the treaty were later taken back by the French parliment, which felt that too much territory was given up. The English--after another invasion later that year--were forced to accept the revised terms from the French. In the end the English received Aquitaine.
